Topstitch Production is a soft goods production house and fashion education incubator specializing in community education, workforce development, economic enrichment, and Sacramento-based manufacturing.

Our Origin

Topstitch Production was born out of the desire to pay it forward. Pay it forward by sharing time, wisdom, and space with the next generation of fashion designers, producers, and entrepreneurs in our community.

We looked around and recognized there was a lack of access to needle trade experts, education, and hands-on experience in the region. With a growing interest in sewing and fashion design, we are here to bridge the gap between demand and entrepreneurial success.

Our Values

At Topstitch, we’re driven by curiosity, mutual trust, accountability and connection.

We personify high quality in all that we do – from creating curated community experiences, producing high-quality products, and providing top-tier educational opportunities.

Our Approach

At Topstitch, we take a three-pronged approach to cultivating a vibrant, equitable, local fashion ecosystem.

We specialize in:

+ Product development, or incubation

+ Community education + workforce development

+ Small-run, sustainable production

This holistic approach maintains a trained workforce and a steady market demand for these skills; all while providing local businesses with regional manufacturing capabilities to keep quality high, collaboration accessible, and costs affordable.
